Brian DOUGHTIE of Lambley in the County of Nottingham (Blacksmith) m. 1620 Emmot BARKER of Bingham Brian DOUGHTIE m.1643 Mary TRUELOVE at Arnold John DOUGHTY of Lambley m.1670 Elizabeth BROWN John DOUGHTY of Bankwood House, Thurgarton in the Co. aforesaid, Yeoman m.1698 (secondly?) Joan SMITH at St Mary’s Nottingham (his brother is styled ‘DUFTY’ in the 1727 will of another brother Bryan) He d.1733 at Bankwood House, she d.1723. Both buried at Epperstone in the Co. aforesaid. John Dufty's date of birth is uncertain, but may have been 1673. He was married to Joan Smith at St Mary's Church, Nottingham in 1698. They were both of Epperstone, Nottinghamshire. Joan's date of birth is not known. She died in 1723. They had 7 children;
Elizabeth Dufty, nee Blatherwicke, died in 1766. Elizabeth Dufty, nee Turner, was born in 1705 and died in 1757. Ruth Dufty died in 1763.
